Since 1972, the Schools History Project has been working to put the needs of children and young people at the heart of history teaching. Our work is guided by the SHP Principles which seek to support teachers in creating history curricula which truly help children understand the world around them. We hope this website provokes thought, inspiration and enthusiasm for the teaching of history.
